Now, my holidays are not until next year (April) but I'm already stressing about it so I'd like to hear your advise. We adopted our dog from the pound about 4 months ago. She is an australian cattle dog and was dumped by their previous owners after 7 years. She was very stressed at the pound (obviously) and is quite scared and defensive towards other dogs (but not plain aggressive though). I have two options. The first one is a company (in Australia) called Don't fret pet and basically it's families (without other dogs) who look after your dog whilst you're on holidays. The other option is the normal boarding kennel. Now money is not an issue and I'm willing to spend whatever it takes so that she does not suffer during those two weeks. The first option sounds good but I'm concerned the people (even though theyhave police checks etc) might not treat her properly and I would never know about it. The kennel I'm looking at has a good reputation but I know it will stress her heaps. Advice?

Just to clarify, I'm in that position because I have no friends or family where I live as I just moved from Europe to Australia. I don't want an in-house dog sitter either as I heard so many bad reports. Has anyone in Australia heard of or used Don't Fret Pet?
