Forgiveness is such a wonderful thing. In Scripture all Jesus had to do to heal someone was to forgive them of their sins. Most the time it is easier to forgive others than it is to forgive ourselves. We forgive in a human way which means we forgive but we don't forget. God's way of forgiving is so much better. If you ask Him to forgive you of misrepresenting Him that day He will take it and toss it as far as the East is from the West and remember it no more. If you go back 5 minutes later and ask Him, "Please forgive me...". He will say, "Forgive you for what?", because it is already gone. Father in heaven help this young person to know how much you love her and that she has already been forgiven. Help her to be a blessing to those around her and make good decisions for her life. Forgive us all Father when we fail you and help us all to be ready for your Kingdom when you come. We love you Father...in Jesus name.

That won't be the last time youregret sinning. you can't beat yourself up for it. Instead work on being better in that area. You have to move on. If God forgives you then you need to forgive yourself too. I've been there and know how you feel. It helps to talk about it but you do have to move on and press towards the prize.
Are your friends christians? It sounds like your young because what you guys were saying was very immature and seems like something children would do. You can do better than that....so do it.

As long as you have forgiven others for the things they done against you out of sincerity, God has forgiven you of your sins, as long as you're serious you won't do it again, or give your best effort not to. It sounds as if you were really sincere when you prayed!
Read the Bible everyday, be more prayerful, spend more quality time with God, and you'll reach the point where you won't want to hear vulgar language, and hate other sins that Satan makes pleasurable.
My advice is either stop being friends with them because hanging out with the wrong people can make you stumble; or just be REALLY careful when you're around them and ask God during each prayer to help you get the strength and courage not to do the ungodly stuff they do!
I love you, Sister-in-Christ, and happy Thanksgiving! :-)

You should feel bad because what you did was very wicked indeed. That F word doesn't belong in your vocabulary and to say that about dead people, come on.
on the upside, good that you do understand how wicked it was and you repented and confessed it. God forgives those who know His Son Jesus as Savior. Shake it off and move forward with the thought that you will be more careful in the future and next time your so called "freinds" start behaving in an evil way, you will set the good example and not fall short and act evil as they are.

I think it was bad mannered to get up and leave. It would have been more polite to stay and watch the show. However disappointed you were, walking out like that was ungracious. It was belly dancing, not lap dancing, and belly dancing is not considered to be an activity for youthful women only. I don't think middle easterners are as obsessed with youth as westerners are.

Hi Jennifer,
I am glad you realize that you shouldn't have said what you did. Sometimes things slip. Be sure that God forgives. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I would ask if you are keeping the wrong company. We tend to become like those we hang with. May I suggest different friends, and study the Bible, and listen to Christian music. What goes into our mind, tends to come back out.
I will pray for you and your friend.

You are forgiven.
I am going to be honest with you man.
I myself am a Christian too and I swear.
Yes, you heard it right Atheists I swear.
I swear mostly when I am really irritated and angry.
I will not lie and say Oh I do not swear.
But each time I always tell Jesus I am sorry.
The point...
None of us is perfect
But the difference between a Christian and a nonChristian.
The Christian feels remorse and repents.
The nonChristian enjoys it and laughs.

He forgave ya. I've done worse than that already this week.. You have to keep getting back on the horse. And let go of the past, even the recent past. Once you've made your heart right with God, guilt and shame has no place, and you should never think otherwise. Get rid of it. And find some better friends.

Jennifer, what a precious heart you have! I read your post and God has heard your precious cry for forgiveness. You repented and that is what God asks us to do.
I too, have done things I wish I hadn't, later! We all are guilty. But, Jennifer, that is why God sent His Son, for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus, loves you even more! Why? Because you knew immediately you had done something disrespectful, to your own heart. In as much, I pray that God takes your guilt away as He has forgiven you. Now, you must forgive yourself and learn from your mistake!
Your Heart for the Lord, has brought great joy to my heart! God bless you!
