Yes, I do believe that sounds pretty reasonable, I don't see why not. Drink lots of Water, Plenty of Fruits and Veggies. Baked not Fried Food. Everyone in moderation. Exercise. Good Luck.

Yeah do the Atkins diet I lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks and I didn't start off really heavy just wanted to lose a few pounds. Definitely works though if you stick to it. Also you don't have to exercise with it. It will help if you do but I did very little to none.

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.
1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

I think 2 pounds a week is supposed to be healthy. One good way is to start simple so you aren't frustrated. Stop drinking soda if you do because it will speed up your metabolism. Going for walks once or twice a day could help also.

yep - that's a great goal
eat less - exercise more ($19.95 please) LOL JK!!!
first calculate how many calories it currently takes to
maintain your present weight (source list)
now - reduce that number by just 15%
and exercise most days of the week for 30 minutes
make sure you stay hydrated - 1/2 oz water for every pound
and an additional 8 oz for every 25 lbs you are 'overweight'
e.g. me at 256 lbs needs 128 oz - or a gallon + 16 oz
(yeah I gotta lose, too - my doctor said I was overweight -
I told him I wanted a second opinion - he said, You're ugly, too!)

sure it is :) and it's a reasonable amount to lose in a healthy time frame! here are some hints:
*drink lots of ice cold spring H2O (your body will burn calories from heating and processing the water)
*at least 30 minutes of exercise a day (walking and swimming are great, or even shopping at the mall...you know how sweaty you can get in the dressing room)
*stay away from fast food (eat healthy, lean meats, lots of fruits and veggies, and complex carbs-think wheat not white)
*dairy is good (2% milk or light yogurt)
*drink lots of green tea, or a dieters tea (try to use splenda instead of sugar)
*take a good multivitamin
*make sure you eat at least 3 meals a day, if you can swing 5or6 smaller meals instead that would be better
*and stop eating as soon as you feel not hungry, not till your full!
