We go out to eat a couple times a year. I love to cook, so I find going to a restaurant a waste of money. I can cook good meals for less cash at home, and know that everything will be exactly as I want it.... We only go out to eat for day's I don't want to cook, such as birthday's and anniversary.

My family of 2 eat out several times a week. We usually get the food to take out and go home to eat. The portions are so large we can buy 2 nice meals for about $20 and each of us can get 2 and sometimes 3 meals.

When I cook at home it can actually cost me more to prepare the same meal. And I have to shop, cook, clean up and throw out some things I bought and didn't use. I figure we save money by eating out.
One place we order fish and it comes with 4 large pieces of fish and fries or baked potato for $8.00 I can't prepare it at home for that.
We do not eat fast food, junk. We do the Chinese buffets with lots of wonderful stir fried veggies and still get 2 and 3 meals from one container.

I figure we average $5. per meal when we order take out.

But I do cook

When I was married,we used to eat out every day.Yes,it is expensive and not very wholesome. You can't beat home cooking and also you know how it is cooked.I have had my fair share of finding a hair, eyelash or some other gross item in my food.I have also sent back or even walked out of restaurants when my food is is not cooked to my desire.Everyone knows that when you complain to the waitstaff, that your food might be tampered with.As many years that we ate out,the small percentage of bad eating experiences sure convinced me to start eating at home. Good luck:)

I usually go out to lunch 2 times a week with my sister and friend. Girls day out! Makes you feel better and I eat so little that I bring most of my meal home and have it again ! Not too shabby and less expensive for me! It comes out to less than going to a fast food place and is so much better. I also get waited on!

We don't go out very often to eat. There is usually a reason why we go out--to celebrate something or because we are out. My husband likes to cook and does a very good job of it! Often his meals are better than you get out--and we like nice places to eat!

Fine dining is never a waste of money.

Eating fast food is a waste and dangerous to your health.
