God observes us this way. I want to be just like that, but it is the most diffiuclt task I have ever attempted because it requires a constant awareness of every thought, word, and action I take. What is your secret? I want to mix it up with my attempts then maybe I can get to the point where I see things like father sees them.

I am considering each answer very carefully in the hope that all will help me. The path to God is not an easy one as sentient beings. Even at the next higher level, I understand that spirit is still desiring to get yet closer to the source. I want to live that awesome power right here and lead others to it, but I must first get a handle on myself. I am checking out a Course in Miracles tomorrow from the local library. Thanks Don H and everyone else for your heartfelt answers thus far.

I try really hard to not judge. Mostly if I remember how I was before I was a Christian, it makes it easier. I wasn't a Christian until I was a teenager and also if I think of the mistakes I have made it helps. It helps because it puts other people in perspective. If you remember the way you used to think or sometimes do think about different issues you can notice the way of the flesh and have understanding for those who are still lost and in need of God. As far as judging Christians, we are supposed to hold them accountable to help them get right with God but we should be a friend if we do that. You can't just walk up to someone randomly and tell them they are messing up because they don't trust you. The exception is if you felt God' Holy Spirit leading you to tell someone about they wrong doing. If you do try to correct someone, you must do it with love.

I find this to be a noble pursuit. There I have had a thought a attached my judgment to it. However my speech acknowledged it was my judgment and need not be viewed as anything more. In the future I will not require this to be my thought. I have not found away to stop the creation of thoughts. I have however found the power not to let them control me. You are right it is awareness. It is OK, I have this thought. Does this thought serve all involved well? Will it benefit many without causing harm to one? From this mindful speech and actions are created. If our speech or actions harm one or benefit none, it would be best that they never were. Even if they benefit many yet harm one, it is best to leave them aside.

You see in all we must judge it is just to be mindful in doing so. It is the standard that we judge things against. I have read the teachings of Jesus. Many say that he said not to judge. This is not true. I believe he said 'For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.' Therefore I will only judge in love and compassion to the best of my ability.

Hope this is clear on my thoughts. It is such a big question that keeps unfolding to different levels.

It begins with how you know self.
If you see all-that-is, as God, then to separate something out and "call it"....... is seeing that "thing" as not of God.
All is of God, God is all, so you are seeing "something" as separate, as a part, which it cannot be, as God-is-all.
What you see, is your own reflection throwing the shadow, so therefore it is a gift to show you, you.
The situation/person/event is love being love, showing you what keeps you at that time from being love.

To judge what you see, is to judge yourself.
To not judge is to set the judged and yourself free.

When the beloved sees the beloved, there can be only love.

The heart cannot judge
God cannot judge.

So it must be altered ego that is judging.
It is a shift in awareness that is needed.
To live from the heart of all, is a lifetime discipline.

It is a difficult task to explain something that is so transforming.
Ask and you will receive.

I hope I have helped.

Bless you

Peace in the heart
God is Gracious.

It needs some training. Normally when we see a flower, we say,"how beautiful it is".Now don't bring that comment into your mind.Just admire it's beauty & pass on .

In the same way whatever you see or hear see that the mind doesn't have any repeated thoughts about it.

When anything gets recorded in our mind we keep on playing again & again.Put in some awareness into it & never do that.

We might not be successful at first, but soon we will get used to it & we will know that we are just witnessing.

Also have in mind that everything is the outcome of God ,so there is no right for us to judge.Whatever happens is happening as to His wish.If we have to take part in it, do it & don't wait for the result.Just move on.

Be Blessed.

It is impossible, stop beating yourself up! Do you want to have delusions of grandeur? No one is capable of seeing or being like God. He is on a different plane of existence, far above our capacity of understanding.

You, my friend, should be commended on your desire to be like Him, but don't expect the impossible. Judging people, is natural, not necessarily wrong. Mostly, you are drawing an opinion from what you see and hear from someone. Making a judgment is basically a matter of opinion. Some opinions are right, some are wrong.

For example, two people are looking at a piece of colored paper. One says the color is blue, the other says it is green. It just so happens, that one person is color-blind. Each sees something different, who is right? Each sees a different color, both believe that they are right.

Hope this helps!

Here are some ideas:

Realize that even good hearted people get drawn into doing lousy things because of weakness;

that sometimes people make bad mistakes with the best of intentions because they don't know enough about what they are dealing with;

that sometimes people have different values than you do because they haven't experienced aspects that you have;

and that sometimes circumstances cause events despite the will of the people involved.

It is impossible to observe people and events without making a judgment. The human mind works in a very judgmental way because, in order to proceed and adapt with life, we must make conclusions based on incomplete evidence. However, most people have the decency and humility to refrain from expressing all of their judgments. Most people have a good idea of when its wise to keep their mouths shut.

Prayer and realizing He's still working on you

2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (King James Version)

4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Not easy I don't know anyone who doesn't judge sometimes. Even the buhdist monks that are protesting are judging. But they have a right in that case and my prayers are with them. God knows our hearts and knows our intentions we don't know a persons heart in most cases we only see the actions. Meditation and prayer is the best way to have total awareness.

People who say that they dont use their bias (prejudice) are mistaken.

I mean when you encounter something, your consciousness use past experiences and learned ideas so that you could comprehend the present experience. Example, when you see a red car, you are using your past experience of the color red and the idea of a car.

That is why bias has the dual ability for you to understand new experience but it also has the ability to trap you.

So you must be constantly aware if you bias is not allowing you to respect and to understand the new experience being presented. And normally, people are able to transcend their old bias and make a new one.
