Is it possible to improve or enhance eyesight by simple exercises for the eyes. There are a bunch of websites that say it IS possible, but many people say it isn't. I already know it is possible to maintain 20/20 eyesight with exercises, but not sure about improving eyesight.

The Birds of Prey do certainly have the nice eyesight technically talking. When talking of the Cats, it isn't the eyesight within the capability to peer a long way, or motion.. as within the Birds of Prey, however as a substitute within the Light Gathering Capabilities that units them aside. I f you spotted, the scholar of the Cat is vertical, which offers it the capability to accumulate mild from the edges as good as above.. ie. the Sun, and in addition had a Reflective Retina, which concentrates the sunshine that does input the to a unmarried factor. If you've ever had an historical 35mm digital camera and regarded into the lens, you might see that there are a sequence of ridges that replicate all incoming mild to the movie aircraft in order that there is not any " Bounce Back" of the sunshine out of the lens which might purpose "Glare". In whole darkness, neither the mouse nor the cat can see; nonetheless, if there's simply the slightest bit of sunshine coming in.. the knowledge is going to the Cat! While the mouse is determined by it is olfactory feel of scent and the whiskers for consider..the Cat has the sunshine collecting retina and vertical " Cat's Eye" scholar!!

The exercises can only help if one of the problems contributing to poor eyesight is related to the muscles around the eye (ie convergence insufficiency).
Refractive correction (the need for glasses and contacts) is based on the shape/depth of the eyeball itself, which can't be changed by exercises.

Take a good look at the discussion forums on those sites; you will see a lot of wishful thinking, reports of people going without glasses and getting by, some reports of "improvement" in the 0.50 to 0.75 range but few, if any, reports of people who actually changed their presciption to zero.

Join the boards, and ask the question of any success stories. You won't hear much.
