I've never heard of Old Earth Creationism before today. I thought Intelligent Design was the new window dressing for Creationism.

I guess we'll never see the end of people disguising religion as science. Ironic that it's the religious side of the argument that will say anything to persuade people to their point of view. Seems like they'd prefer the moral high ground.

It's an attempt to accept scientific findings without giving up the entire 'special creation' concept. Hey, at least they're trying.

It is an attempt to make evolution's old earth theory seem palatable to creationists.
