I know it is your birthday, so there is not a lot I can tell you to make things better. I can tell you that when you are my age, it won't even matter. Life is bigger than that. You can't let someone "make" you feel sad. If they are that empowering, then they aren't worth it. No person worth loving should ever make you feel sad. Period.
Use the anniversary of your 18th year of life to empower yourself, and never let another person make you feel that way. You are better than that!
