Say Dad, I've been thinking for a while about how I can be an individual, and I thought that mabye I could get my lip pierced. Now I know youre going to say that you ____________ (insert reason that's bad, but i did research and ________________or i talked to ________________ and ________________. Plus, I could take it out for social occasions or whenever appropriate, and cover the hole with makeup. Also, I could just let the hole close up in a while. Plus, I would take care of it and get it pierced at _____________and you could come. I'm gonna be 16 soon.......
If that doesnt work, threaten emancipation.

learn about lip piercings. learn how to care for them, how they are done, what to wear in them, how you can hide them once they are healed, how they will look if you ever choose to take it out. Then put all of this information together in your head.
Go and ask dad if you can have your lip pierced. When he asks why explain that you like the way it looks and recite your wonderful essay's worth of information to show him you know what you are talking about. Finish with the fact that as long as you take good care of it then it will only leave a tiny little scar if you ever took it out.
Doing all that learning will impress him and will set you up for knowing how to take care of your lip piercing for as long as you choose to keep it. Win, win.

well no matter how you say it, he is gonna hear it the same way. just be honest with him. act as mature as you can. . . when he asks why, be truthful. you want to get a lip ring. so what? how much different is it from an ear ring or a belly ring? bring up that point. sweet 16!

tell him it's part of growing up and you are trying to find yourself it's better for you to be trying out a piercing than a few other things. if he's says you will regret it tell him its apart of growing up. you live you learn you make mistakes.

Say:
"Daddy, if you don't let me get my lip pieced, I'm going to have sex with someone"
I'm just kidding, don't say that unless its last resort.
