Genesis 9:22-28 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

23And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

24And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

The scriptures about a drunken Noah trouble many, how Ham saw the nakedness of his father.
Study of God’s Word always sheds light.
It is very important to note, written twice for emphasis, Ham is the father of Canaan.

Gen.9:18-25 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. 19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. 20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. 23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. 24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

So what is the nakedness of his father, the nakedness of their father, or their father's nakedness?

Lev.18:8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

Lev.20:11 And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Canaan was the child of Ham and his mother or Noah’s wife.

I think it was plainly gossip that Ham was judged for.

The Bible Knowledge Commentary says that the Hebrew states: " Ham saw . . . . his father's nakedness."

So there are a lot of wild theories about what set Noah off, but I think that it was merely the fact that Ham gossiped. I find that many people do not want to believe that, because people gossip a lot. They even have publications that are bent towards gossip. But the fact remains, that's what Ham is recorded as having done. It was enough.

He dishonored his father by seeing him naked. He knew he laid down drunk, fell asleep, naked. He told his brothers what he saw. They out of honor to their father covered him w/o looking upon his nakedness.

His father was drunk and naked, and he talked about it. The
other brothers walked into the tent backwards and covered
their fathers sin. He did not honor his father and the other two
did.

He dishonored his father by laughing at him and telling his brothers, not to help his father, but to shame him. Also, God knew his heart.
