But I have a few questions as to how to do it, I suppose. Currently, I have a Maltese puppy and a 1-year-old cat. The puppy adores any living thing, but my cat is socially awkward, I guess you could say. She doesn't really like any one except my mother, my boyfriend and me. Also, I would like to adopt a kitten from a shelter or rescue place, but the problem is, they don't let people under 18 adopt without an adult present. My mother is very busy and doesn't want to take the time to bring me to a shelter. Is there any one who has any kittens that they would be willing to give me (for a reasonable adoption price, of course)? I am a very responsible 17 year old confirmed animal lover living in Astoria, New York who would love to give a stray a wonderful home. Please help! Thank you.

Call the veterinarian offices around you. People post free kitten adds there a lot. Also, if they are posted at the vet, it generally means that they are taken care of by getting veterinary care. Good luck!!!

You have no adults that could go with you to adopt a kitten from a shelter? If not, if you ask around, there's usually always someone giving away kittens.
Your cat will eventually get used to the kitten, maybe even learn to love him.
We have 2 8-year-old cats, and we just brought in a 6-month-old kitten. They were quite annoyed at first, but now seem to like him, and he's actually brought out the kitten in them!

I would give you one, but i am in Virginia!! Sorry! I hope you find one though. Check your local newspaper. There is always kittens in there. Good Luck!!!!!!
