I play guitar both acoustic and electric, and i'm attempting to expand my abilities as a player. so I'm looking for a song that can "push the limit", an acoustic, blues guitar piece (not necessarily slide) that's thechnically intricate yet beautiful?

Much Thanks

Loose Change is correct that Villa Lobos is difficult, beautoful, and not blues!

If you want some challengins stuff that's more blues - look into the music of Blind Blake.

If you want it more jazzy and challenging - try the Joe Pass album (and sheet music) Joe Pass Plays the Blues

Just an "out of the box" suggestion. You could check out the sheet music of one of the greatest composers for guitar -- Villa Lobos. Not blues but extremely awesome stuff. Not chords either. You could Google "Villa Lobos sheet music." Definitely difficult and challenging stuff, but not TOO difficult. I play some of his compositions on the piano.
