I just picked up a book from the library called ''Marines in the Garden of Eden'', is this a good one ?

Cobra II. Without question. It is the most universally praised and all-encompasing.

I like "No True Glory" by Bing West and "Fallujah, With Honor, Eighth Marine's Role in Operation Phantom Fury" by Gary Livingston. Of course my husband is in both of them, so I'm slightly biased, but they're really good books too. There are alot of good books out about the war, but I can't remember them all right now.

Long Hard Road - NCO Experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq. It is an awesome book that is being passed around in the Army almost as a field manual. I am sure you can find it somewhere online to download, I got it off Army Knowledge Online (you need to be in the army to get on that page)

The best book hasn't been written yet. You cannot accurately depict history while it is unfolding. Can you imagine if "Band of Brothers" had been written before the Battle of the Bulge?
