I'm making the cornbread for cornbread stuffing right now and I've never baked before the recipe asks for 2/3 cup milk and i looked in my cabinets and only found a 1/2 cup measuring cup.

Is 2/3 less or more than 1/2 cup?

i dunno anything will help...please?

2/3 is more than a half

1/2 is 4 ounces
2/3 is 5 1/3 ounces

does your 1/2 cup measure have a mark for 1/3? if so, fill it twice. If not, fill up the 1/2 cup measure and put it in, and then fill the 1/2 measure a little more than 1/4 full and add that

2/3 is more than 1/2

Do this, assuming you have measuring spoons:

5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon = 1/3 cup

Double that and you have 2/3 cup

2/3 is a little more than 1/2. Don't worry you don't need to be exact for stuffing as long as it looks right.

It is more. I just pour in a little milk, or buttermilk and stir. It should be almost as thin as pancake batter, so I add a little cold water and stir until I get the right consistency.
