I responded to a question, which had a sexual undertone to it. I responded by answering the question, but letting the person know that the question was not really approate. i read all responeses this person recieved after i responded. my response was vry much a rated pg 13. others were so graphic,, i'm suprised they were able to do that. Now i answered this question a month ago, and just now i was turned in for violating the terms.. how did i violate them? I did nothing wrong, however i feel i was turned in because this person took offense. so i was "punished" by having points removed from my account. i feel how is this helpful and logical, if anyone who doesn't like a response can "turn you in" for violation... when nothing has been? what is the point of this yahoo answers, if anyone can just claim something and yahoo doesn't even investigate? just wondering if this has happened to anyoen else? becaus ei'm seriously thinking opf closing my accoutn with yahoo.

My response to this is try to stay away from the wackos and bottom feeders on this site. They are hunters. Nothing you could possibly add as a rational being would satisfy them. They are looking to put down the norm. I won't consider giving these losers the time of day. So pick carefully when you are looking to answer and you will have less the chance of getting a violation. Yahoo should be slapped silly when they give a violation because of some of these nutcases questions.

i dont think you where so wrong to let the guy what the hell he was sayig on here.which is why i dont understand how yahoo would give u a penalty for being honest, cause thats exactly hat you did, you where honest with this kid and you got introuble for what you said. as far as closing your yahoo account, i wouldnt do that, even if its just because of a couple of yahoo answer points taken away from you, but of course if u wanna close your yahoo account then go ahead(if you think its nessesary).

it is pretty messed up that the person reported it. i find that a lot of people come on here and ask a question, but they only want one answer. no real point of asking a question if you are only looking for a particular answer. you should try to contact yahoo to see if they can redeem your points back. but i wouldn't stress about it, it's not worth the time and effort! the disadvantage of deleting your account is that you have to sit there and transfer your contacts to another e-mail provider

I've had this happen to me too. It really ticked me off, but what can ya do? Like someone else said, watch what you answer, some people are just waiting to report you for something that really didn't need reported.
