My mom did this to me three times. She always gave away the dogs when they became a "burden". It taught me that pets are disposable and only fun when you want them to be and then disposed of when you are tired of them.
Teach her responsibility with this dog. Do not get rid of it.
I wish my mom had made me see how important this little life was.

Well the whole family should decide. If you guys think the dog really is what completes the family then keep him but if you can't take care of the dog and the dog reallly serves no purpose give the dog to someone who could give him more attention!

If neither of you have the time to give the dog the love and attention it needs then you should give it away. Just make sure it gets a good home.

If you really dont want to get rid of the dog then just talk to your daughter about giving the dog more attention.

What you should do is get out a leash and walk the dog yourself before even thinking about giving the dog away. A few nice long walks will help clear your head and be very beneficial to the dog.

Think about what would be best for the dog. If he's not getting the attention he needs then maybe it would be best to find him another loving home. Try holding off on getting another pet until your daughter is ready for the responsibility of a pet.

Wait a minute, your going to get rid of your dog because your daughter doesn`t play with him.
Man, what a lame *** excuse, If you`re serious, then maybe the dog is better off not being with you anyway.

People need to really think before getting/acquiring pets. Animals are a lifelong decision---they are NOT disposable.

You should keep him until you find him a MUCH DESERVED loving, FOREVER home. That's the LEAST you should do....and think long and hard before you bring another pet into your home----as it should be there FOR LIFE.
