I am making a stew tomorrow in the slow cooker...i am getting my veggies ready tonight..do you know if it is alright to put turnip in water as you would potato? I don't want it to get dried out.

they wont lose there color cuz they r white turnip...and also...do you think it is on for me to put it in the same water as the potatos and carrots??

We do it and add a pinch of salt.and keep it covered.

yes you can leave all your vegetables in water overnight. It will actually remove excess starch so your stew will be better for everybody. Just drain and rinse before adding them to the crock pot. Enjoy!

yes it is fine and i would recommend it also with a little salt or lemon juice to keep its color .
