I've met some amazing people through myspace and msn.
And they'll remain friends for life even though they live about 4 hours away.
I think it's fine, it's the way that technology is moving and how society is adapting to it!

I think it depends how mature a person it. They can either have a meaningful relationship, or purely sex. Some do it for fun. Some do it because they are expecting something out of it. A friend of mine even had a relationship with a girl from a stupid strip poker site.

I think it's pretty creepy, but I suppose that you do actually get to see the person in real time. So I guess it's slightly less creepy? Other than that, I just don't find it too trusting to meet someone that way. There is always so much risk in meeting someone online, most of the time, its fake. People are usually pushing a website to get payed.

they can become serious long term relationships --- provided you truly get to know the person i believe they are a LOT safer than meeting someone at random in a club/pub/bar/church etc ---- when you do meet its in a public place and you (the lady) has control and can ensure her safety ---- i know of a few people that have formed very strong bonds --- marriage and long term commitments ---- best wishes
