can your mileage really be zero if you are driving why or why not?

If you are moving, you are getting some gas mileage. It may be very low, under 1 MPG but you will be getting something. If you are stopped with the engine running, you are then getting zero MPG at that time, because you are not moving!

zero is stopped. when in motion always above zero

if you move then there's mileage. if you don't then there's no mileage.
