I want to get a test on DNA to learn about my ancestry and find relatives. I have found some websites to order a kit for the test on from Ancestry.com and http://www.dnaancestryproject.com/ydna_intro_howto.php. Which is better or is there a better website I can use? Thanks.

I used www.familytreedna.com. They are one of the most reputable. Fees vary depending upon just what test you oder.
They sent me a printed report after about 3 - 4 weeks, and also access to their website (my own site on their website) with a list of where my ancestors came from (Dad's side; Mom's side) and folks who have a common ancestor.
Also, try the National Geographics' Genotype Program.

Unfortuantely I do not know which is better. I am also looking for information about this. I'm very curious if all of these databases share information (ex. you go with one company, but all of your potential relatives have used another service - would they still be able to match you up through data sharing?) I am probably going to use the ancestry.com service only because I think a lot of people use that website - it's very commerical. Looking forward to reading responses.

Call your local court house and ask who they use for paternity test. Then call them and ask if they do an ancestry test. It will be pricey but accurate. I paid $1500 for it but I was looking for something specific.

Just remember you get what you pay for. You go cheap and thats just what you will get, most of the projects do not give you what you are looking for if they even give you your results. They are compling dna for their research not for your use.

I don't know what you are really looking for. I think you would do better doing your research to find your ancestors and go from there. Leave the dna test for later down the road when you really know what you are looking for.
