One good exercise is to contract your abs for as long as u can. Do this over the course of your travel. I do it when I drive. Its 0 impact, and doesnt require a whole lot of energy. Just keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road

Breathing exercise is something new for you, I guess. But anyway, here they are;
Breath in air slowly as hard as you can and hold them in as long as you can, expanding your stomach then if you could not hold on to it, breath out slowly as hard as you can and hold on as long as you can flattening your stomach, then repeat from the beginning for the whole procedure. First timer will get dizzy for this!
Good luck!

Look at Pilate's, yoga, etc. NO sit-ups or crunches. Also walk and swim, watch what you eat.
