My daughter is complaining of stomach pain. It's hurts mostly on her right side. She feels tight when I press on her tommy like she is constipated but she has atleast 5 symptoms of an appendix rupture. Her father and I share joint custody of her a he says I cant take her to the ER. What do I do and what can this be. Please help. What symptoms do I look for?
Thanks

You need to call your daughter's pediatrician. Appendix rupture is nothing to fool around with. She needs immediate attention, hopefully to rule out appendicitis, but you need to seek medical help immediately.

You are allowed to take your daughter to the ER! Joint custody doesn't mean you should act in a potentially harmful way because her father says so!

If you think she's ruptured her appendix, you'd better rush her to the ER! There's absolutely no way a court would punish you for taking your daughter to the ER without the consent of her father! You can take complete strangers to the ER to save their lives.

A father who says not to take his kid to the ER when she is having extreme unexplained pain in my oppinion is no father at all and just a loser.
Take her to the ER cuz honestly it could be a number of things.... you did not say how old she was so please don't take this the wrong way but if it's something like a tubal pregnancy that can be life threatening if left un-treated. It also could be something little like a pulled muscle as well which is no big deal.
You EX is not a good father if he sees his kid hurting like that and still say NO to going to the ER......
I have no kids myself but if I did noone would tell me not to take my kid to the ER if I felt she had to go..... tell him to work a couple extra days if it is the $$$$ he's worried about.... his daughters health should be more important than life itself.

Well I say you take her to the ER and when he says something about how he told you not to take him to court. I'm sure he'd be laughed out for being such a jerk. Besides, if something is wrong (like a ruptured appendix) and something serious happens not only are you going to look like a heel in court, but you will have to live with it for the rest of your life. Good luck!

Take her to an urgent care facility , if she indeed has an appendix problem and it ruptures it could be fatal. Don't mess around and screw what the father says at this point . Use your half of the custody and take her in now.

ARE YOU KIDDING??
Get your daughter to an ER immedietly. If she has a ruptured appendix,it can kill her.Do you realize that?
The HELL with your husband.Do what's right for your daughter.
If she dies, you'll end up in much bigger trouble for child neglect
You'd better get your husband issues solved before it's too late for your child.Get back into court if you have to.Your TOP PRIORITY is your child.Let someone know about his behaviour.Sounds to me as though he shouldn't have any custody of her at all.
DO WHAT'S RIGHT FOR YOUR DAUGHTER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CALL THE POLICE TO GO WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE TO BUT GET HER THERE.

call child protection if he causes you any grief or tries to stop you from seeking medical care for your daughter.

if she has a ruptured appendix she will be dead by the time you read this - she is your daughter - i would take a stranger to the ER - so most definitely would i take my child regardless of what my husband says, thinks or does.

Yes, take her to the ER! What kind of father would not wish his daughter to have the medical care she needs?

Take her to the ER. If you have joint custody, take her when you have her. Her well-being should be the most important thing here.

first of all if you have joint custody, you can atake her without his permission....he is ridiculous! what kind of father would not want his sick child seen by a doctor. Is she running a temp? it does sound like it may be an appendicitis. even if it is nothing serious once you get there, you need to know. This is your child.
