the only way that you are going to gain "weight" and not have it be fat on your stomach and everywhere else is if you lift weights and gain muscle mass all over your body. you won't gain muscle simply just from a high calorie diet. you have to give your muscles a reason to grow.

fat storage always starts and ends in the midsection. meaning it's typically the first place that the body stores fat and the last place that fat will remain after dieting unless the body fat is reduced to below average levels.

when I was in highschool I was in the weightlifting class with the football team(I was the only girl...It was awesome....) and all the guys who thought they were puney would drink Slim Fast WITH thier meals and eat lots of banana and peanut butter sandwiches. I remember one of the coaches saying that that combination would cause rapid weight gain...I have no clue why, but that is what he said. Peanut butter is healthy and fattening at the same time. I know you said no bars, but protein bars will make you gain weight if you aren't workinf out. I have the problem with the tummy area as well. I just learned to accept the fact that I have to do ab exercises. YUCK! Avacodos are also very fattening. If you like fresh guacamole and pita chips or toasted bagels that would be a good snack. I know this isn't much advice, but I hope it helps.

Your body will react to all of this food that it isn't used to, because your stomach has shrunk and it needs to be challenged constantly to stretch it back to a normal limit. But it will get easier each day!
I've been on the same track as you and I've found eating so much pretty hard, but some great foods include pancakes (make them yourself so they're healthy - and have them with fruit like bananas) - my recipe= 1 large or 2 sml eggs, 3/4 C milk, dash vanilla, 1 Tbsp low fat margarine (melted), 1 Tbsp apple puree - mix all of this together with beaters, then sift a bit over 1 Cup self-raising flour (can use wholeweat) over the top and beat it all together and make your pancakes - they're really thick and yummy.
Also - healthy muffins (make them in texas muffin trays so they're big!).
School lunches - you could make salads with lean meats - and fill your salad with legumes like chickpeas to add calories. Sandwiches made on wholegrain breads, cold pasta salads etc. Snacks could include topping your favourite yoghurt with fruit salad (I top nestle diet vanilla yoghurt with chopped golden kiwi, strawberries, tinned peach slices, apple, muesli and rasins).
Ensure and sustagen are pretty good - try to get most of your nutrients from whole foods - but these supplements are fairly nutritionally complete, giving you a decent amount of carb and protein, whilst also being low in fat.
Try not to stay away from carbs too much, they're great for putting on weight, just go for good cabrs found in low-gi, calorie dense foods like wholegrain bread and pasta.
Don't stress about the weight going to your stomach - I'm assuming you are recovering from an ED. If your periods have stopped, then chances are the weight may come back to your stomach for a brief time, until your periods resume and then your hormones will distribute the weight over your body to the places it is needed (arms, legs, face etc). I'm in recovery and even tho I have no periods, the weight hasn't gone back to my stomach - so dont worry about it. And just think - would you prefer to be too thin and unhealthy, or healthy, with a bit of belly flab that wont last long anyway????
Good luck with your goals :)
P.S. Check out the australian institute of sport website which has a great recipes section - it has snacks, lunches, dinners etc and everything has nutritional info so you know exactly what's going into your body.

no...
im 16 and in recovery from anorexia. When I was in the hospital, I had to drink/eat a TON of those supplements. I'm sorry, but there is no food that will do that. Just eat your supplements and condense your foods. Do not be afraid to eat some "bad" foods like cookies.
Good Luck :]
