It can happen from the dog being to active. Sometimes, as rare as it is, your dogs body is reabsorbing the internal sutures to quickly. With the second surgery, they should have used wire sutures. It is time to see another vet, I wouldn't wait, please call the emergency vet asap. Good luck and please don't let this keep your from spaying and neutering in the future.

Take her to a Vet hospital.
Ask the Vet`s office that screwed up, for your puppies health records right up to the last visit
After the Hospital evaluates and treats and whatever the outcome of your Pup, then SUE that Quack Vet for at least get the cost of care of your Pup from the time of spaying to the final outcome of what is going on now and possibly any future medical problem relating the damage caused by Quacks malpractice.
Ask for court cost to be paid by that jerk too.
Other Good Vets don`t need Quacks like that Vet tarnishing otherwise Honorable Vets.

I think you should take her to a new vet. Seems to me this one is an idiot. Iv'e had a female killed by a spay from a quack of a vet before. Don't mess around and don't give him another chance to kill her. He is already trying to blame YOU by making the statement that she probably was allowed to be to active. That's what my vet did too when he knew dam well he just botched the surgery.
What you are seeing in NOT right and she should be taken to a new vet.
Good luck.

It sounds like your dogs incision is infected and needs antibiotics...find another vet...the vet your using now seems to be an idiot.
I have two female dogs and both have been spayed and we've had no problems.
However the pamphlet we got after the spay said if there was any swelling or discoloration that means the area is infected and you have to bring your dog in right away.
Maybe your vet isn't using sterile equipment...SERIOUSLY LOOK INTO FINDING ANOTHER VET!!!

I think you may need to go to a new vet. If the stitches keep breaking she won't heal properly and could end up with a fatal infection. If there is an emergency clinic in your area, you should take her there.

Take her to another vet. For sure. Do NOT go back to him..
If the stitches were done with any care, there wouldnt be a problem unless your dog was like doing super backflips...
Just keep her calm, do not give her people meds!

What sort of vet is this?
I've had many dogs spayed and neutered and never heard of anything like this, it is certianly not normal.
If your story is true, please take her to another vet - as I said,t his is not the norm and has never happened to any dog I know or heard of.

Definately go to another vet and have them keep records and make note of what was done. Sounds like you need to report this vet to the state board.

She needs to be seen by someone else. Yes, this can happen, but if it has happened more than once, I would be pissed at that vet. Did the vet say that she might be having a reaction to the internal sutures? Get her to the ER vet now tonight.
