As a Wiccan (whose "Solstice Holiday" is Yule), I prefer the inclusive "Happy Holidays." I am not angered by "Merry Christmas." I tend to take it in stride, thinking "forgive them for they know not what they say." Many who say "Merry Christmas" are not really aware of the exclusive implication of this greeting to non-Christians.

I prefer "Happy Holidays" because it is more inclusive. Not everybody celebrates Christmas.
However, I am not offended if someone wishes me a Merry Christmas. After all, they are trying to be friendly and nice.

I say ' Have a nice holiday' if I do not know the beliefs of the person. If I do know, I address their holiday.
Neither makes me angry. Insisting that everyone says "Merry Christmas" is annoying however.

I think happy holidays is better, just in case someone isn't christian. But I don't personally care either way. No one says Merry Christmas to be rude...I hope!

I prefer Merry Christmas, but will take happy holidays. The well-wisher may not know which holiday, if any, I celebrate. Isn't it the kindness that counts?

I say happy holidays to people I don't know, but if I know the holiday they celebrate I generally use the proper greeting for that holiday. I see no reason to be offended by any of them.
