OK... I need to know who thinks this is a good tattoo. I was thinking about getting a cross with my moms, grandmothers, and my sisters name on a ribbon wrapping around it. Thanks

seems typical, generic and ordinary. i'm not a huge fan of names in tattoos (no matter who's they are), i just don't like the way it looks (most of the time). is there a reason you want a cross with their names? is it a memorial? that's what i think of when i see a cross and someone's name. if you want a tribute tattoo to the women in your life maybe get something more personalized.
for instance, with my next tattoo i am planning to do a family tribute and for my sister i will have an artichoke, for my dad i'll have a stack of books, for my grandmother i'll have a banana... each of those things mean something to me and remind me specifically of them and would be more special than if i just got a generic symbol with names.

but if you still want a cross with their names... it's definitely not the worst ordinary tattoo to have.
good luck.

A person has the right to be tattooed if that's what they think is best for them, male or female. Many tattoos are badly done as a result of a bad stencil or a lack of thought on the part of the person being tattooed. Bad tattoos can also be caused by poor aftercare (picking the scab, going out in the sun) or lack of touch ups. Older tattoos tend to fade which doesn't look great. They can also emphasise sagging, hairiness and wrinkled skin on older people. So male or female, think carefully, choose a design you love, try it out as a temporary tattoo and pick a place that won't sag or stretch. If done well, tattoos can look great.

The general rule to getting a name tattooed on is:
Don't get your girlfriends, wifes, boyfriends or any name that can be an eyesore in the future.
So Mom,Dad, Brother ,Sister you can't go wrong with! And yes that is a excellent idea for a tattoo. Can't go wrong with getting someone you love name tattooed on you.
Be sure to pick a a good artist and ask for his or her portfolio to see there work. I love tattoos I have two full sleeves that run up into to chest plates ect...
Good Luck!!

definitly make sure you get a good credible tat artist to do the work and then i would see if they had any cool suggestions. Many times they have ideas that you never would have dreamed of. So many people have the tattoo that you were thinking of doing, so by asking the artist he may think of something original and exciting that can add an even more personal element to the tat.

It sounds a little cliche. I personally wouldn't get something like that, but if it is really important to you, then go for it.

go for it. Who cares what anyone else will think. It sounds beautiful to me. But remember, youre the one wearing it for life, so it's your opinion that counts.
