because as teenagers...people are rebellious and have no respect for anyone. they think they know everything and totally disregard the fact that their parents have been in this world longer and therefore know more.
once those teenagers grow up and enter the real world...get married...get a job...have kids && all those things...they will realize that their parents were totally right and regret their teenage past.

it also depends on what kind of relationship you have with your parents. if you are close...and you go through your rebellious phase...you will feel really bad and want to make it up to your parents. if you don't have a very good relationship...things will be the opposite. but as a part of life...things change && people change...so it could be different.

Totally!!!! It says, "A child's days will be shorten who are disrespectful/disobedient. As a young teen you go through stages I know I did but once I realised the pain I caused I try apologising and showing that I'm sorry anyway that I can. The bad part is the say you get repaid 3X's as bad when you decide to have children.

Kids think they know everything and that their parents just aren't up with the times.

Once they get out into the real world and have kids of their own, they realize that their parents really just meant the best for them and it wasn't an easy job.

Mostly because their relationship is not cemented in respect and honesty. As for the regret, you will always have regrets with regards to your behavior....when its really someone you love.

Because someday every body's parents die. When we are young we don't think about it, but when you get old it hits you one day and you regret that you weren't better to your parents when you were young and took them for granted.
