W/o knowing particulars it's hard to say. If you're afraid you should talk to a trusted friend that you know is walking with the Lord.

Reading the Bible is great in any event but I'm pretty sure your concerns need an answer quicker than you might find it by just generally reading the Bible.

It could be just a case that God is temporarily removing the sense of His presence to test your faith. He's still there. But quiet.

Your conscience isn't even the greatest guide as we tend to fool ourselves sometimes on our motives.

So the best advice I can give you was given to my Husband & me by our spiritual father. We had done sometime that had felt so right, caring, etc. But when my husband Doug mentioned it to another brother he really condemned us for the act and gave us scriptures to prove he was right. It really crushed Doug's spirit because that was the first time he had ever stepped out in faith believing it was a specific thing God was leading him to do.

Stan told him that other brothers mean well but that doesn't mean they're always right even if they SEEM to have scriptures backing them. That he couldn't tell him if it was right or wrong but if we had prayed before doing it and had peace about doing it then it was from the Lord. Only Satan brings confusion, doubts, etc. Also that even if it wasn't God's perfect will it could still be His acceptable will if it was done with right intentions in your heart.

God says he throws our sins as far as the east is from the west. Before we were ever born He died for those sins. So it wouldn't make any sense that those before you became a christian are forgiven but the ones after aren't.

We don't stop sinning just because we become a christian. We tend to think in terms of big & little sins. Sin is sin to God and it all needs forgiveness. But He also promises if we confess our sin He is faithful & just to forgive our sin & cleanse us.

Christ took God's anger upon himself at the cross. We can disappoint God, make Him sad. But never so much we can't be forgiven short of deliberately walking away from all you know to be true. Go to youtube and search for Petra then for the video "reach out". I used to listen to that song all the time when I was worried that I had gone too far.

One last thing. Don't feel like you've fallen so far or done something so wrong you have to live w/o God for awhile to earn the right to ask forgiveness. Some who have a problem with the same sin over and over again begin to feel that way. Like they must not be sorry because they keep doing it. Life is a struggle. Some of those character traits that make us really good to great in a particular ministry also have their dark side.

God is now our father. When your child is learning to walk you don't beat them when they stumble and/or fall. You help them up and walk with them until they're ready to try again. A father gets angry but that anger is more disappointment. A father may withhold a conscience sense of his love. But He never stops loving him.

So the best answer I can give you is to pray for God to reveal to you any sin or mistake you have made & as He brings it to mind confess it and trust He's forgiven you. If nothing comes to mind then just ask He forgive you and show you how to walk more closely to Him.

The fact you're even concerned you have shows your heart is in the right place.

What gives you the idea God dislikes atheists? (Possibly some misinformed Christian Fundamentalist, but they don't speak for God.) If God got rid of people right now that weren't yet on a spiritual learning track, He'd be destroying the vast majority of the human race. That would be like going into an elementary school and expelling every child that couldn't do calculus. He gives us time to learn and grow. God isn't as big, ugly and mean an s.o.b. as many "believers" would have you believe.

Greetings!

Well, first of all, God doesn't know what guilt is. So, if you are feeling guilty or know at the core of your being that what you do, or don't do in life is harmful, then the only thing to do is to take responsibility for what you have created.

Don't blame God. God wants you to experience everything you can; with Joy. So, if you are angry with your self, than look at that , and when you pray with God, do it with Joy, not guilt.

Until next time,

Blessings

I do not think God gets mad at us, maybe he might get disappointed for what we do that he dislikes, sometimes when I argue with my Husband for no unknown reason, I Know I did wrong and at night when I say my prayers, I always ask him to forgive me for doing wrong. But I am sure if you really are repented for what you did, he already knows you are sorry for it. If for some reason, what you are doing, is wrong, Please! refrain from doing it again. Remember he knows us from the inside and the outside. God Bless.

If you feel guilty about something then you need to ask forgiveness for it. Sometimes when we get to feeling that way we need to just focus more on God and Pray more. Sometimes our sin is a lack of faith, what is not of faith is sin. Normally a good ole heart to Heart snot blowing prayer laying on your face will solve most of your problems, and the worlds, if we would just spend more time there.

Janz - If you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to die for your sins, and you have accepted His atonement for the forgivness of your sins, then that means you are His child. As His child, He looks after your best interests, and His Holy Spirit teaches you what is pleasing to Christ. When what you are doing is pleasing to Him, you are filled with joy and peace. It's when we disobey His teachings and commandments that we feel guilty, and this chastisement is meant to get us back on the right path and closer to Him. Read your Bible everyday, for by doing so, God will speak to your heart and mind, and you will have peace knowing God loves you Janz. God bless you Janz!!!

God is slow to anger with us. If you are not following his word then that is what God dislikes. See we are his children and we have to do what he says just as we expect our children to listen to us and follow our rules. But when our children mess up we don't hate them or love them any less...nor does God us. God loves us more then we can imagine. Would you give your only son's or daughter's life for another?

Read the Bible, look at the 10 Commandments, pray, and you'll find the answers. Oh! And make sure to ask God to forgive your sins; He will take them away and make you pure in all ways. besides, sometimes the bad things in life that make us doubt our faith are thrown in because they will make us appreciate the good times to come.

The Happy Pilgrim is correct.

When other Christians get to know you and know what you are doing they will tell you if and when you get out of line.

1. read the bible
2. attend a good church regularly
3. develop Christian relationships
4. learn to pray - and pray alot.
5. repeat all the above

As we learn what the bible teaches, as we pray, as we get involved with other Christians, etc. we learn how to please God, how to conduct our lives free from guilt and shame, etc.

It is a daily walk with God, always learning, always growing, always asking god for wisdom, guidance, correction ,etc.

god bless
