I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday, and was prescribed generic Percocet for the pain. However, I would like to be able to drink wine with Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Under NO circumstances are you supposed to mix alcohol with this drug.

Most of my pain has already subsided, so if I stop taking my Percocet tonight, would I be able to drink wine tomorrow afternoon without any risk?

This is not a problem. Percocet, either generic or trade name, is Tylenol (acetaminophen) and oxycodone (similar to codeine opioid narcotic).
The effects are largely gone in 4-6 hours if not sooner. After that lag time, you will have no more risk of drinking wine than you normally do. Even if you had a glass of wine with one Percocet, it would not be that terribly dangerous, but you
should not drive under the effects of either.
The toxicity of mixing the two has NOTHING to do
with "allergy."
Enjoy a normal Thanksgiving!

You will be fine by tomorrow afternoon. In reality, if you only took 1 pill and had 1-2 glasses of wine you would be fine, just a little tipsy. But by tomorrow afternoon you will be fine, the drugs effects will no longer be affecting you by then. However, if you just got your wisdom teeth pulled yesterday, do you think you are going to be OK to stop taking the meds already? When I got mine pulled, I was hurtin' bad for a few days.

Long as possible. Alcohol is more destructive than any drug and alcohol is a drug as you well know. I think it would be okay to have a glass of wine on Thanksgiving as long as the percocet is out of your system. I being a nurse have seen people have an allergic reaction to drinking wine with Percocet. If you take your last percocet tonight tomorrow should be fine for a glass of wine for Thanksgiving....just don't over do it !

Xanax + alcohol = possible death My doctor says 24-48 hours from the last dose, and then only a drink or two if I plan on taking Xanax in the next 24-48 hours after drinking.

I wouldn't risk it at all. You have no way of knowing when the drug has fully left your system (everyone's body is different). Why not take the perc before dinner instead and have a nice mellow time ;D
