Holy sheeit. I thought no one would ever ask this question. Why? Because I used to think that I was the only person going to hell FOR SURE and KNEW IT. You want to know why? So do I.

I messed around with some hallucinogenic drugs about 9-10 years ago and they really screwed up my vision of religion and God (now that I've capitalized the "G" word, you're not gonna choose me as your best answer, but oh well, I want to vent here a little; plus I just had a forty ouncer and I'm on my second--I like to write but especially when I'm under the influence; I just wrote a letter to an old friend who rarely returns my emails to go you-know himself).

Here's the "cry me a river" part: I was born and raised a Roman Catholic. I believed when I was younger that God was this bearded man in the sky like I'm sure many young Christian believers do. I went to public school all the way up until high school. Then I went to a private Roman Catholic college-preparatory high school. The only REAL reason I got in was because my brothers had gone there. I took the test and got a 78/100. I had a neighbor down the street that was Greek Orthodox (which is pretty much the closest you can get to Roman Catholic) and she got a 98/100 and she didn't get in, so I knew that I got in because my brothers went there. Every year they had gotten more strict with the Roman Catholic thing. BUT, if you were a Sik and your brother/sister was a Sik that went there earlier in the '80's when the rules weren't so strict, you got in. I know, cuz there was a Sik kid--no pun intended--two grades below me that got in cuz of a sibling before him. This could go on forever with my writing-thing. I'll cut to the chase.

I screwed around with acid, mushrooms that I grew myself, and that was really it. I did a crapload of Dextrometorphin when I got out of rehab for pot, but I think that pretty much just killed a lot of brain cells.

When I went off to college (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) majoring in professional pilot, I had trouble sleeping every night, wondering if God really existed. Then, all of a sudden, I started thinking for some odd reason that I was going straight to hell. To make this long story short, I believed this for about 5 years, not knowing why, just knowing, until POOF! it went away--that thought I mean. Sometimes I think it anyway, but not hardcore like I used to.

Sometimes I think, if there is a Heaven, there is no such thing as hell. Everyone goes to Heaven. And sometimes I think there is no such thing as Heaven and everyone goes to hell. And sometimes I think there is no such thing as either and the universe has just always been here and no entity created it. All these things scare me very much because I don't know what to think and I don't know when I will figure out which one is right. No one can say, read the Bible and you will know there is a Heaven. Or even, read the Bible and you will know there is a hell. Okay, I'm done.

Your question is the epitome of Pascal's Wager. By acknowledging "going to hell" I assume the "biblical" hell and not one of the hells defined by other religions that do not follow "the" god. You have used the "the" god as the default deity. You are also assuming that "god" selects heaven and hell as destinations according to the rules mankind have established. You also assume that hell is the horrible place as defined by mankind and mankind's belief in what a "god" has established.

Yadayadayada. I guess I would say "oops".

But, on the other hand, assume the christian dead end up facing Quetzalcoatl and realize he is pissed right royally because they have been paying tribute to their false "the" god and not him. What are their last words going to be?

We could play this game all year.

No matter what the outcome, all that we will hear is silence. We'll be dead and that's that.

Don't you think the Bible already says what will happen, those that chose not to believe, there will be gnashing of teeth, i don't understand,Are you telling people that their is no God, well that would be like telling people to jump into a burning pit, since we are saved through Jesus Christ and thier only chance is to have Faith and be saved through Jesus by asking forgiveness of thier sins, an eternal life in hell would be agony beyond anyones capacity to understand here.

If I'm wrong, and I go to hell, my last thoughts would be "Wow, there is a god and he is a vengeful pr**k."

Seriously, I'm a good person, I help people whenever I can, I do volunteer work and so on. The only reason I'd go to hell is because of premarital sex and not worshiping God. If I get sent to hell for that, then screw him.

No. I don't think any one can decide who will go to heaven and hell. That is in Christs hands. But He did say in the parable of the Sheep and the Goats....

Then the unrighteous will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’

“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’

“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

Well if that evil tyrant in the Bible is real, I'll have lots of company. By his rules we are pretty much all f***ed.

I don't know the exact words, but it'd be a curse on YHWH.
