It sounds silly, but I envy people who have kids that look a lot like them. I think it's cute when someone says "Wow, you look just like your mom" My daughter doesn't look like myself or my husband, except that she has his curly hair and my legs. She's only 3 so maybe she'll look more like me over time. Can anyone relate to this? Happy Thanksgiving by the way!

Yes! I can relate! I have 3 kids, 2 boys & a girl, and none of them look like me. It just kinda makes me sad that you can't tell by looking at them that they belong to me. They look exactly like their dad, my little girl is just the female version.:)

My soon to be 1 year old daughter has looked just like her daddy the day she was born. Although I don't envy him for that, I get tired of people always saying, "Oh my gosh she looks just like her daddy!"....I mean, I've heard it since day 1!.. We just had our 2nd baby girl 2 weeks ago and everyone says she looks like I did when I was a baby...but that could change!.. so each child has their own features and some will look like their mom or dad and some may not look like either!

My son has never looked anything like me. People try to be nice and sometimes tell me "he has your eyes," but I think he has his father's eyes... along with everything else. People are always so amazed at how much my son looks like his daddy. I sometimes wonder if people think I kidnapped him but I've never been really disappointed that we don't look alike.
I have noticed that my son has picked up a lot of my mannerisms, which is cute. We're together almost all the time and he's started to mimic my pregnant waddle (I'm 35 weeks with baby #2), the way I yawn, and how I position my legs when I'm sitting down. My husband thinks it's a riot when he follows me doing the "mommy waddle."

My husband is half Japanese, and at birth, my daughter looked just like him. As she grew, people would say she looked like me and then every few months she would like more like daddy, then back to me. She will be 3 in January and right now everyone says she looks just like me. I'm pregnant with #2 and curious to see what this one looks like.

Yes. My daughter looks JUST like me, but my sons.... we can't really tell who they look like. And they don't resemble each other either. I see little things here and there that remind me of my husband. As my oldest son grows, I start noticing more and more. I'm sure as they both get older, they'll look even MORE like one of us. My daughter? She's probably always doomed to look like me. lol Our baby pictures are spittin' images of one another. I'm sure your daughter will do the same.

Yes, my eldest is 10 and doesn't look like me or her dad. She looks like my sister. She is always mistaken for my sister's daughter when we go out together. The funny part is that my sister doesn't even have children, lol.
