Assuming you're not here illegally, and from what you're saying here you shouldn't be, you would still need to prove your status in order to work legally. How you do that is the problem. Have you ever been issued a social security number? That would normally do. Otherwise, you'd need to apply to USCIS to issue you a work card while you're waiting for them to send your green card. Hard to believe it's taken them 7 years to send it to you. Even by immigration standards, that's hard to believe. How did your parents get theirs? Did they come in as immigrants or adjust on a work visa, or what?

Even though you have not received your green card, CIS probably gave you or your parents temporary evidence of lawful permanent residence.
Take a look at your passport. See if it has a stamp from CIS with the word "Temporary" or "Temporary I-551." If you were granted legal permanent resident status, you should have been given something as evidence of the approval.
Have you changed addresses lately? The Post Office will not forward mail from the CIS card facility.
You should send a Form G-731 to the CIS card facility that is responsible for the part of the U.S. where you live and inquire about your card.
This form is used to inquire as to the status of an I-551, Alien Registration Card, for an alien who has adjusted status.

No but your family needs to get on it. If your family has legal status there should be a way to get some kind of temporary as you are a dependant minor. If they are legal you would be as well.
I suspect that your family is not asking the right questions. You need their info and you can then research it yourself.

An illegal can get a job but the salary may be lower as compared to a citizen whose wage must not be lower than the required minimum as provided for by law.

It sounds like you have conditional status. If that is the case, then the answer is yes.
