PS3 is plugged into router by ethernet cable. Laptop is wireless. PS3 frequently says "signed out of network" and computer will say "IP address conflict".

Try resetting router and installing everything back (there's a button or a pinch hole for resetting a router). That is if you know a thing or two about computers, if you don't - ask someone, who knows to do that.

let the wireless connection obtain the IP first, then enable your pc LAN connection. Mine does the same, the wireless wants to be the first ip in sequence. Other way would be to set up static ip addresses Hope this helps

I had a similar problem but I got both wireless. I dunno but my is okay now, but even now I still just have my laptop off when I'm using my PS3, just in case. Sorry, I'm of no help tho...
