Are you entering prints or digital files?

If it's prints, the 300 lines per inch is meaningless; just print at your best quality.

But if it's a digital file, they're asking that the file be preset by you to be 4x6 at 300 pixels per inch.

If you have Photoshop, you can change this very easily. Open the file. Click on Image, then image size. Adjust the image size to be 4 x 6" 300dpi, resample and then SAVE IT AS A DIFFERENT NAME. Don't overwrite your original.

For an image to fit this criteria, it would have to be:

4" x 300 DPI = 1200 pixels

by

6" x 300 DPI = 1800 pixels

Or slightly over 2 Megapixels...

What are the specs on your digicam?
What resolution to you take the pictures at?
Also, do you do post processing to do any cropping?

Best of luck with your contast entry!
