I lost my main keys to my truck. I can use the replacement keys to get into the car but cannot start it. Does anyone know how to get my truck to start?

if the truck will not start it is because you have the sentry key immobilizer system. the system is there so someone can't just go cut a key and steal your truck. there is no way to bypass this system. you would have to replace the engine controller with a non skim one, and remove your skim module. it would cost over $500. what you have to do is tow the truck to a dealer, they will cut and program a new skim key, and the truck will run fine. if you are in a small town, the dealer may be willing to send a tech to the truck instead of tow it if you explain the situation.

If your door key don't work you have a problem. It means someone has changed the ignition lock or the door locks at some time. That gives you the opportunity to pick the lock. You don't say what year it is but a dealer can't help you. I would consult with a locksmith and get some advice as to your options.

if the replacement key will get you in it should start it unless its a coded key,if that's the case you wont get it to start with that key,unless you bypass the alarm system and that's really hard to do on those trucks,good luck on it.

you could hot wire it?or you could call the cops and they could bring you a replica or if you dont want to be inbarised you could just go to the place were you got the truck and they might or might not have it for you.This is a long awnser!bye!

Go to a Dodge dealership with your registration (it'll have the VIN) and they should be able to hook you up.
