In a 32" LCD HDTV, objectively, Panasonic and Sony are top dogs. You can get all the subjective opinions you want, but they mean little or nothing.
Read over the HDTV report, which covers this size LCD in performance and reliability, in the 11/07 Consumer Reports magazine, now on newsstands and in your public library. A worthwhile read for all, except those who have been overwhelmed by advertising blitzes and have ignorantly fallen in love with Vizio and Samsung! lol

Last year - the Sony LCD's were the best.

This year, the Sharp Aquous seems to be the preferred choice.

I have also been hearing good things about the budget-but-full-featured Insignia brand sold at Best Buy and Costco.
