I'd like to see more young people advocating for the spaying and neutering of animals. Peer-to-peer advocacy on this subject, as well as school-based clubs that advocate for such through their school's newspaper and web site, could make a HUGE difference in reducing the number of animals in shelters. These clubs could also create online directories to help people considering giving their animals up to connect with training specialists that can help the family learn to better train and care for their animals, turning a "problem" animal into a cherished member of the family.
