How about, "Hey I'm a bit uncomfortable bringing this up but... I'm supposed to get paid on Wednesdays and I didn't this week. When can that be straightened out? I have bills I need to pay and saw (something you want to buy someone for Christmas) and I would really like to pick that up. Thanks."?

She knows darn well she is supposed to pay you. Yes you are being taken advantage of. Tell her you need your money- nobody works a 12 hour shift for the fun of it.

The problem with under the table jobs is that if the boss is dishonest enough to stiff the gov't, she is also dishonest enough to stiff the workers.

Well, I'd say "what happened to my paycheck" the next time I saw her - or even call her at home tonight and ask.

The other issue of course is that you're working under the table. You know that's illegal, and if or when you get caught, you will be in some serious trouble. In addition to that, if she just quits paying you, you don't have legal recourse.

Unless you want to work for free,You might better tell him... " Uuuh hey lady I really need my money " Also it's not looking money hungry to want what's coming to you.I would probably get REALLY ugly about that.

Perhaps you should forget to show up for work. That might help her memory. :)
