I feel I must apologise to Mimi. I noticed today that she behaved very fairly: she had previously defended Hezbollah, but then she did read what some of us wrote, she went away and researched it, and she actually came back here and stated that maybe she had overestimated them.

Mimi, I know I argued with you a lot, but I just want you to know I really do respect you for having an open and fair mind. I'm sorry if I got on your case. I think I misjudged you; there is no excuse, I just get so upset at the constant Israel bashing.

Anyway, I hope you'll accept the apology; if you want to block me, fair enough. I won't block you, though, and please feel welcome to answer any of my posts you find interesting :)

Da man, I don't owe you an apology because I never got angry with you or was impolite to you.
Mimi: I will read your post, thanks for responding nicely to mine.

ULTRANATIONAL - fair is fair, though. I don't often treat people unjustly but if I do, I will apologise.

Nice one Paperback - both you and Mimi have big hearts, which makes you warm and compassionate, but also sensitive to each other's criticisms. An apology like that goes a long way towards healing the hurt.

Ultra N - one day you will learn that apologising does not imply surrender, but strength. So to follow up on Paperback's fine lead, I would like to issue a heartfelt apology to all Arabs for any wrongs you have suffered at the hands of my country, Israel. Does this make me a traitor to my country? No! I support the existence of Israel and its need to defend itself against attack, but when my country screws up, I will try to make amends where possible, and also ensure that we learn from our mistakes. Have I sold myself out then? No! It doesn't cost me anything to issue the apology, but perhaps it will heal some of the hurt. Does the fact that it doesn't cost me anything make it a disingenuous apology? Again, no! I genuinely reach my hand out in peace to those who will take it, in the hope for a better future.

I must agree with you here. People are dead before their time and some will never get over the emotional shock of having seen death occur, and how closely it came to being their own. Yet a few comments made by the usual contributors here and on other sites calling the shooter an Atheist and yet again putting down the Christians, which happens anyway on a daily basis, and from among the living comes cries for personal apologies. Are you all truly the bunch of self-absorbed human beings that this sort of thing makes you appear to be? Do you truly place that much importance upon yourselves? It makes me truly wonder! This is very wrong!

DAMAN you still don't get it do you?
Hezbollah do not want a better world - they want to rule with force and destroy their rejectors they are controlled by IRAN and they want the world to be in chaos. If you want Islam to be shown in a good way you should not support them.
I don't know why you think they are great - I think you will understand that they aren't when you get older, not trying to offend you but it seems you don't know much about them, except that they state that they are doing thing "for" lebanon. these people are hungry for kill and terrorists. they do not want peace and do not think about the best interests of anyone including not their fellow members.
I just think in this time it is good to show you another POV.

Paperback you have just made me feel good, because it takes a lot of courage to say that you were wrong that makes both of you (mimi and you) very strong in my opinion.

I hope someone can prove me wrong on something too, but if not I'd also be happy staying right heheh :)

Ok paperback, I appreciate your apology. You really annoyed me when you questioned my heritage. I would like to tell you as an answer to your question, How I am Palestinian?
I consider my self palestinian because my parents are palestinians. My parents are palestinians because their parents are palestinians and they lived in palestine before 1948.
I was born in Iraq but the iraqis didn't give me a citizenship so I can't call myself Iraqi. I lived in lebanon for 13 years but I they didn't give me lebanese citizenship so I am not lebanese. I live in Canada now and it is too early for me to apply to canadian citizhenship so I am not canadian. Therefore, I am palestinian because this is what my grand parents are.
I also apologize but I really didn't mean all the israelis are monsters that time. I never bash israel unless as a response to another bashing to my people

I forgive you and I hope you forgive me. Have a great night.

peace

paperback, I deleted that question about you.. But please promise me not to keep adding comments about my posts. I respect your opinions even when they disagree with mine so please respect my opinion.
Thanks once again.

lol lol lol
shanti_g, I am afraid that you have the same issue with the baby as the issue I had with paperback but then how can the baby or you apologize to each other, the baby doesn't know how to speak, lol so I am going to change it. Please we don't want more conflicts here.

Normally I am not a big fan of these personal questions to other members - mainly because they are impolite and improper inho and according to yahoo's guidelines. However, I think this one was very much worth it.

Good Luck!!!
