Along with the M4? I know Marines carry M-9's.

Not everyone is authorized an M9 or to carry a pistol but it is fairly common for personnel to have side arms they either got in area (captured and allowed to keep) or which are personal owned and authorized; when some one brings a personal, authorized weapon then that gives the unit an extra to issue to some one else. So not all infantrymen do but probably as many do as can get one.

All infantry carry their primary duty weapon (Typically an M4 or a SAW, but there are others) plus an M9 for self defense should their primary weapon become unusable.

This isn't restricted to just infantry, it really depends on your job as well and how much time you spend in the field. As a TACP, I roll outside the wire with an M4 Rifle and an M9 Pistol. Military Police are another good example.

Yes, if they have the qualification. Not every infantryman does.
