I think some people do enjoy hurting others. These are people who either never bonded with anyone when they were young children and became sociopaths or they were hurt so bad along the way that they became bitter and it comforts them in some sick way to hurt others as they've been hurt. That's what I've observed.

They want to project their hurt onto other people. Of course all this does is multiply the original hurt. A rational mind would understand that, but some minds aren't rational...
And now, another question:
Why does healing others make some people feel better?

My thinking is, it doesn't really make them feel better, but hurting others is the only way they can think of to deal with their own pain, fear, bitterness, etc. They can't seem to realize that mistreating others never brings them happiness or peace of mind, unless they are sadistic, which most are not. They're just psychologically crippled and afraid, trying to face life without any real tools to help them cope. I feel sorry for them.

That's the same as laughing when someone gets hurt, as they do on all those "funniest video" shows. It's sickening and shows no empathy.
I am careful to a fault that I don't hurt someone else's feelings because I endeavor to live by the Golden Rule. I'm certainly not perfect, but at least I give it my best shot.

Because we're weak. When we see someone strong we attack. It's in our weakling nature. So get use to it!
Maybe if you join us we wouldn't mess with you so much. Stop being better than us. Lower yourself. Stop showing independence because that will only piss us off more. You don't want the insecure bully to target you do ya??? Ok so blend in and stop complaining!

Hurt people, hurt people. Usually when a person doesnt have anything esle to offer but pain, I feel empathy because they must be in alot of pain, themselves.

because people who hurt others are insecure. It makes them feel more confident. My best friend started treating my like dirt, because I'm an easy target. It used to really bother me, but now I realized that she only does it to gain confidence, because she knows that I'll put up with it

I have often wondered that too. Hurt people hurt people.
We all should pray the prayer of Jabez
"Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!." So God granted him what he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Makes them feel better about themselves. They're usually the ones that are the most miserable anyways.

Someone taught me this lesson. He is so wounded inside that to see people happier than himself, yet he can't seem to get there himself, it makes him angry. Instead of raising his own energy up, he wants to tear others down.
