Yup, I pray a lot. I even "wrestle" with God, so to speak, as many have done in the Bible.... God, sometimes, I fear for my life for being a Christian these days! It's like people want to quell religion and Christianity like it was some sort of "rebellion" or something! Being a Christian these days is like "marking yourself for death!'

There's a saying at my congregation: "If you can count the number of times you've prayed throughout the day, you've not prayed enough."
I tend to keep a sort of running monologue in my head throughout the day as I talk to God with ease. Formal prayers are harder for me. I'm typical A.D.D. and my thoughts wander around so much that I feel disrespectful when I start to silently pray (but formally) and my thoughts start roaming. I rush through the prayer just to get to "Amen". If I'm praying out loud for my family (like before meals) I don't have that problem.
Keeping God in my thoughts all day long helps me to keep him foremost in my mind so I try harder not to displease him (not for fear of making him mad, but for fear of making him disappointed or sad).
It's how I've always been (except for one time in my life when I was spiritually dead) and how I hope I'll always be (but improving my formal prayers).

Good question.

I used to pray each evening before bed, but now its more of a 'at the moment' thing, I probably pray quite a few times each day, just in my head, when I see something good or interesting I think of God, same as if I see something awful.

I pray to my brain hoping it won't explode from all this dogma. By the way, what do you mean by 'never along in this world', isn't the word 'alone in this world'? And I appreciate that statement to, theres always someone out there who shares your ideas and views.
