He should arrange for a consultation with a child psychiatrist for just himself and the doctor. He can ask all the questions he needs within this context. I think it could be very harmful if he started probing her in the wrong way looking for info. Maybe even he could plant "false memories" in her psyche which would be very harmful. But he should get that appointment. What is a few hundred dollars, when his daughter's safety is at stake? Let's all hope it is a hygiene issue.

Neither of these are necessarily signs of molestation. Is she having bubble baths at her mother's? That can cause UTI's, as can a lot of other fairly reasonable things. Also, most kids are somewhat clingy when they come home, simply because they have missed their parent.
At any rate, the best thing to do is talk to her. If possible, keep the conversation fairly casual, but ask her questions about being touched. Especially if she has a UTI, this might open the door to let you talk about what hurts, and if she has had any other things hurting while she has been gone.
It's okay to let her know that her body is her's only, and that no one should be touching her if she doesn't want them to. And it is imperative to let her know that she will never get in trouble if someone touches her privates, so she knows she can always let Dad know if something happens.

UTI can be caused by many things for example when I gave my daughter Juicy Juice she got one (the reason I know that is what caused it is because when I gave her some a few months later she got one again) it can also be caused by bubble baths. The way to tell if a child is being molested is as follows: (please keep in mind this is not a full list)
1. the child becomes introverted for example a normally once talkative child becomes quiet, or a non shy child becomes shy for no apparent reason
2. talking in a sexual nature for example rather than calling a penis a wee-wee (or what ever the parents call it) she calls it by a more mature name di#k or cock for example
3. she is overly affectionate to the opposite sex, sitting on laps, flirting, or touching inappropriate manner
4. she would not want to be left alone at all
5. BED WETTING this symptom is common in 9 out of 10 children who are molested
6. The fear of going to the molesters house or talks of having a secret.
At 6 he should ask her if any one has touched her in a place that no one should. At 3 my daughter knew that her private parts belonged to her and the only person who could touch her was me or a doctor and the doctor could only touch her if I am there.

Most common uti's are caused in deed from not wiping or washing after intercourse. I would definitley tell your friend to keep an eye on certain key factors. Bleeding... you can also take her to the Dr. and they can check to see if things have been messed with. We should be able to have an open line of communication with our children so asking the child could be another step. If I were the father I would also confront the mother, just to let her know that he was worried about something when their daughter was at her home. Might scare the mom into watching out a little closer if the dad put it out there that he thinks something is going on.

b4 you point the finger at anyone stop and think a little more. We was stationed in Hi and our Daugherty was always with a UTI. Would finish meds and was good to go and bam another one. Hell they was looking at me. But as it turned out because it was hot or warm year round and she would take a bath b4 bed was the main cause of it. Mother was on her about wipe from front to rear and try 2 keep ur butt out of the dirt as much as u can(yea right)we had her drink cranberry juice as much as most would drink water. It did help some but the biggiest thing was we stop the sitting in the tub for a bath and I final got order to come back to this side. To this day she still get them not as often maybe three times a year. Now she is 21 and on her own. So please be carfull about saying step dad or mom is doing something, now I'm not saying they are not but once you are made out to be a child molester it is one huge burden and a person pretty much count there life as over.

UTIs and other infections do not necessarioly mean child sexual abuse but they can be attoributed to that if it is in fact the case...of course, the question is, does the mother have a live in boyfriend or new husband? Another common symptom of sexual abuse is when the child becomes sexually aggressive and imitates the behaviors (abuse) with other kids or dolls and may masturbate frequently. I was sexually abused by more than one person in the house, family and non family, and I was so sexually stimulated (this is around the age of six) I acted out with other children.

How does she react when it's time to go to her mother's home? Does the mother have a boyfriend?? Or male roomate? I would think if she feels very uncomfortable to go visit over there, then i would question why. You need to ask your doctor concerning the frequent UTI infections. Also, if the mother has a boyfriend and you are concerned about just who the guy is, look him up on the internet... or look under your state's sex offender registry. Everyone in America should be looking at their states sex offender registry online.

ask if she allows bubbles in her bath? Bubblebath solution caused this in my daughter a lot when she was that age. We stopped the bubbles in the tub and the UTIs ended soon after. As for Molested? I would take her to a physician to ask about that because I really don't know a lot about that.
