are long haired dogs born with short hair?

Question

the puppies and dad have short hair, the mom has long hair.

Will the puppies have short hair like their dad or will it come out long later on?

or if they were going to be long haired, would they be born with long hair?

Just wondering how that works.

I didnt breed her. she did this all on her own.. lol..
She came to us pregnant.

They were born two weeks ago. they were all born with hair, and as of now its still kinda short straight but thick. um i think thats about it

They would be born with different texture hair. All pups are born with short hait, but you will be able to tell by the time they are 8 weeks if they will have long or short hair.

A long-hair puppy will have a fuzzy look to it; a short hair puppy will have smooth short hair
