There is the video of the man in question (that HE proudly posted), showing him ranting and raving in the middle of a Catholic Mass.

He says that this method of 'witnessing' actually works... HA!

I was curious as to everyone's opinion of this lunatic, and I wanted to know if anyone here thinks he's doing the right thing?

The 'guy in red' left because he was going to go get the guy's license plate number, lol. Someone was about to be convicted, but it wasn't the guy in red...

Well, he's certainly a master at doing Satan's work of sowing discord and hatred.

Why not come on in and pray with us? I've prayed with Christians who don't particularly like Catholics - I've even prayed with those who hold strong stereotypes of ethnic Catholicism.

He was rude, and for every person he encouraged to leave, he probably encouraged 10 others to be angry. Why he would do that as the congregation was preparing to bring their hearts before the Lord, I can only guess was out of ignorance and a belief that what he was doing was far more important than how others reacted.

I wonder what happened after everybody stood and started singing Alleluia in praise to Jesus? Did the street preacher keep ranting or did he take credit for leading the whole congregation to the Lord or what?

He was very disrespectful and obviously clueless about Catholicism.

While we all should have a attitude of constant renewal and repentance, disrupting a religious service is not the right way to remind people of this discipline.

By the way, interrupting a religious service is against the law in most places.

With love in Christ.

I didn't see the video, but in New Orleans that behaviour would have the person arrested if it happened INSIDE the church.

(I have also seen street preachers told that they could not preach directly OUTSIDE the church WHILE mass was in progress as it was a disturbance of the peace. I actually agree with this as this does not say the person CANNOT express their opinion, but that they must respect the religion of others....)

Darn, I unplugged my speakers to vacuum.

I'm wondering why nobody escorts him out? I see 1 guy leave but why do the rest of them sit a gawk? Also, what's up with everyone doing the fundie-like arm waving at the end? What did he have a gun or something?

OK off to replug in speakers so I can hear what he says LOL

edit- OK, with speakers its much different. LOL. He should be very embarassed.

Such behavior is neither logical nor appropriate nor revealed to have occured in scripture

1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. (I note the meekness command here verses the behavior you describe)

Even if you're one of those people (and I've run across several on R&S) that believes that Catholicism isn't "real" Christianity, it's unbelievably distasteful.

I think it's great that he posted it, so people can let him know what an idiot he was being. Of course, I'm sure now he thinks that he's being persecuted for the Lord . . .

This is the problem with people now a days. I'm sure all he managed to do was annoy a lot of people. You said it youself, lunatc, and I just think he has mental issues. It is disrespectful to go in anybody's church, and act like an ***.

That bonehead has spouted every single argument that the Catholic Church has refuted... what a wuss...

And along with what Veritatum said, I'd be one of those ten people who would've loved to have kicked his butt, anime style!

Yours Truly,

O.W.

Would he permit me to disrupt his church's service with my witnessing to the Catholic fullness of truth and shouting over him? Do to others what you would have them do to you.
