I heard its not worth buying a playstation 3 if you don't have a HD tv, if it is true do any of you know of any HD tvs/computer monitors that are cheap and would work good for a monitor for a PS3 and a computer. Thanks.

I cant afford both a ps3 and an HD tv. The grafics look fine on a normal tv to be honest. Im sure that you can find a cheap HD tv, but you wont be able to get a cheap one that supports the higher resolutions, like 1080

i have a ps3 and do not have a hdtv. i do admit that having an HDtv capable tv does make it look alot better, the graphics still look phenominal with the old tv i have. I just rented Call of Duty 4 and it is so unbelivably realistic. I recomend that you get the ps3 no matter what tv you have, youll be pleased

no, you still will enjoy ur PS3, it just an HD tv will make it look better. i love my PS3 and play it on a 20" STD TV and i like it. IM saving up for an HD Tv though.

No, that's not true. It IS true that it will look better on an HDTV, but to say the system is not worth buying without an HDTV is quite naive. It looks fine and plays just as well on any normal TV.

I have a good standard TV. The picture is amazing, however HDTV is better, but they are:
1). Too expensive
2). Too big (if you have a small room - the biggest you'll need - 29" - there are no HDTVs this size).

My son has a playstation 3 and he doesn't have HD tv. He seems happy with it anyway.

to really get the full effect of how good the graphics are you need a HDTV. I think it will play OK on a regular TV, but HDTV is certainly recommended

it would look a little better than the ps2 on a normal tv, but it looks so real on a hdtv
