Honey, you didn't put yourself into this situation, your folks did. What do the custody papers have to say about visitation and holidays. Also, if you don't want to go, don't; if you are old enough to make that decision. Also, if your dad was an absent parent for most of your life, he has to earn the right to have you as a part of his life now. That takes more than a holiday or two. We're talking daily intervention; phone calls, visits, and a sincere apology from your dad with a willingness to sacriface what ever in his life is keeping him out of yours. Good luck, Darling! : )

You always spend it with your mother so there is no need to break that tradition, but you can split the time up perhaps a bit. For example, thanksgiving dinner with your mother and a lunch date with your dad, Christmas eve with your mother and breakfast Christmas day with your dad. Sometimes ex husbands and wives can be friends even though they can not be married so perhaps they may be able to be civil together enough to spend the time together. The best example of that is Demi Moore, her husband, and Bruce Willis who are all friends and get along well and spend time together but that doesn't always work in all families. Good Luck to you and Happy Hollidays!!

Spend one holiday with mom and the other with dad. Or if they dont live too far apart split the night up and go see both.

I always send my daughter to her father after Xmas, since she still has a a little more than week off from school. Xmas is my holiday, and he has only been around for maybe four or five years.

if they are in the same city and you dont have to travel to see either of them i would simply ask my heart where it wants to be and dont worry about who you sadden however i would see both of them on the holiday but choose to spend the majority of the time where my heart tells me to.
