I am getting married in June. I have almost picked out my dress and have started to look around for bridesmaid dresses. (Thanks to all you here at Y!A with your help on that, by the way.)

I have found a bridesmaid dress from Alfred Angelo that I really like:

What has been your experience with Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dresses? Would you recommend them? (I read one bad review on here, but most of you seem only to dislike David's Bridal.)

I actually just picked my bridesmaids dresses from alfred angelo on sunday! There is good and bad to it from my point of view. One thing is all the dresses must be paid for and ordered at the same time so that they are cut from the same fabric or the colors may vary. Also alot of the dresses are cut strange. I have 32 D chest and 26 inch waist. And the dresses that fit my waist were way to big in the chest. But I am sure that can be altered to fit correctly! Other then those bad things, the customer service where i went was great. And they send you home with color swatches so you can match the guys vests easily. Also many of their dresses are lightweight and very comfortable so the girls are not uncomfortable all day. I love their designs! Hope this helps!

I ordered my gown from them and love it. They have an Alfred Angelo line and a designer line called Piccione. I ordered the less expensive and they gave me the Piccione. When I went to buy my veil and petticoat I took it with me and they called me 2 weeks later to come pick them up. I didn't but everything has been positive for me. By the way I love my gown and think their quality is better than Davids and so is there service.

Alfred Angelo used to be Bridesmart. They spruced up the name to better compete with David's Bridal and other high end retailers but the low quality remains the same in my unhumble opinion. I would look online and see if you can find another retailer that may have a similar style but better quality.

Ugh! My bridesmaid wanted to die. She's small but ended up being a size 10 at Alfred Angelo. I'm normally a size 4 and I had to buy a size 8 at Jessica McClintock, and I can barely zip the back (I was a swimmer) so the bridal sizes run really small. Not just for brides, but bridesmaids too. My Mom is trying to lose weight & she was so happy that she went down a few sizes, and was wearing around a 10 or 12, but when we got to Alfred Angelo, they told her she needed a size 16. She truly panicked. Bridal sizing is just different.

I love David's- they were great to me and I had no problems.
They even did three exchanges for me- even though it's againt store policy.
I heard Alfredangelo and david's are pretty much the same these days.
It really depends on the manager- go to both and check out both and see who treats you better.

I will say- I love the dress but if any of your bridemaids are top heavy or a little on the heavy side.... it's not going to be a pretty look. I am a 14 and I love that style but never could wear it!

I know someone who ordered her wedding gown from Alfred Angelo and was very pleased. The dress was good quality and it was delivered even quicker than expected.

My wedding gown and bridesmaids' gowns were from Angelo and they were fine.As with any special order bridal apparel, the key is plenty of time. Don't try to rush the order.

Those are cute and simple, but the little belt will look bad on anyone even 5lbs. overweight. So take that into consideration.
