The US Census is already a huge undertaking and only counts those who have been born by the first of April in the given Census year. Children born after April 1 in a given census year do not get counted until the next census so not even every living human being gets included. It would be too much red tape to count every fetus.
Aside from which, the US Census is used to determine the number of US Representatives in the House so it would be ridiculous to count fetuses - states would lose or gain Reps, lose or gain funding based on pregnancy status.. it would be a logistical nightmare.

I don't agree life starts at conception. Aren't sperm cells alive? Isn't the unfertilized egg alive? So why would it all of the sudden be considered life when the two join together? Also, according to the bible, we are given our soul at birth, so according to the bible, the unborn doesn't have a soul and therefor isn't really a person either. I'm not Christian, but if we are going to use the Christian religion to justify banning abortion, then let's really look at what the bible says about birth.

Actually life doesn't technically start until 17 days after conception. That's when the fetus begins to make it's own blood.

I think so- great idea, how about getting a petition going. By the way, if there was no life in the womb, why is their a double murder charge when a pregnant women gets killed and her unborn child dies too?
