i never cared or asked but whenever since i was born i could let my eyes "relax" and my eyes turn very blurry. but then i can focus again and it is back to normal. for most of my life, about 99% s ifocuse my eyes but i am still able to relax my vision when i want to. very weird and it never occured to me that this is an everyday feature of the body, am i normal?

Thats called accomodation you are flexing and relaxing the muscle that controls the crystaline lens in your eye. People who are farsighted (hyperopic) typically find this easier to do than nearsighted( myopic) people.

Unless you are very farsighted, you are more likely to be using eye muscles to make things blurry rather than relaxing.

Likely you are accommodating -- increasing the power of your eye by using the internal muscles that normally are used for focusing at near. You use them at far instead and it makes things blurry. When you relax them, the distance is clear again.

you're probably FARSIGHTED. if "relaxing" makes you BLURRY and "focusing" makes you CLEAR...

thats farsightedness.
